Editing Table Properties

Using the HelpSmith's word processor, you can create full-featured tables which are similar to the HTML/CSS table model. You can set different width and height values to a table, and to its individual rows, columns or cells. Also, you can use different styles and size for borders, apply backgrounds, and so on.

To modify properties of a table, or its individual rows or cells:

1.Select the table or individual table elements whose properties you want to edit.

2.On the Layout tab, in the Table group, click Properties.

3.In the Table dialog, change the parameters you need.

4.Click OK.

Table Dialog

The Table includes the following tabs.

This tab contains options that apply to the entire table. These are preferred table width and height, cell padding and spacing options, table horizontal alignment, table background, table borders, and the Border Collapse mode.

Selected Rows tab

This tab contains options that apply to the table rows you selected. These are preferred row height and row borders.

Selected Cells tab

This tab contains options that apply to the table cells you selected. These are preferred cell width and height, vertical alignment for the text inside the cells, cell background, and cell borders.
