Defining Related Links for Topics

The Related Links pane displays the link set which belongs to one or multiple topics, which you have selected in the Project Manager pane.

•On the View tab, click Related Links.

Define Related Links for Topics

You can define a link set that can be applied to one or multiple topics.

1.In the Project Manager pane, select the topics that you need.
Remark: To select multiple topics, you can click on the topics while holding down the Ctrl key.

2.In the Related Links pane, in the toolbar, use the appropriate buttons to add a new entry, delete an existing entry, etc.

Display a List of Links in Topics

Please note that to display a link set in the content of topics, you should insert the Related Links placeholder into a topic, or into a common template. The Related Links placeholder will generate the list of links in compiled documentation.

Entry Types

The set of Related Links can contain the following types of entries:

•Hyperlink - a regular hyperlink that allows you to link to a specific topic, web page, email address, or to perform a macro.

•Child Items - allows you to generate a list of links to the topics and web pages, which are contained in a specific TOC item.

•Topics by Keywords - allows you to generate a list of links to topics, which are associated with a list of Keywords.

•Topics by A-Keywords - allows you to generate a list of links to topics, which are associated with a list of A-Keywords.

	Selected Topics
	Adds a set of hyperlinks to the topics selected in the Project Manager.

	Hyperlink
	Adds a regular hyperlink that you can use to link to a topic, or to an external web page.

	Child Items
	Adds an entry of the "Child Items" type that allows you to generate a list of links to topics or web pages contained in a specific TOC item.

	Topics by Keywords
	Adds an entry of the "Topics by Keywords" type that allows you to generate a list of links to topics associated with a list of Keywords.

	Topics by A-Keywords
	Adds an entry of the "Topics by A-Keywords" type that allows you to generate a list of links to topics associated with a list of A-Keywords.

	Delete
	Deletes the selected entry from the link set.

	Clear
	Deletes all entries from the link set.

	Properties
	Allows you to change properties of the selected entry in the link set.

	Move up
	Moves up the selected entry in the list.

	Move down
	Moves down the selected entry in the list.
