Description


The given HTML template contains a variable that is not defined in the help project. As a result, the variable will display an empty string in the compiled help file or document.

 

Solution


To resolve this issue, you can either correct or delete the variable in the appropriate HTML template:

1.On the Project tab, in the Project group, click Project Options.

2.In the left sidebar, find the section that contains the problematic HTML template.

3.Edit or delete the variable in the HTML template.

4.Click OK.

 

Remark: Please note that the incorrect variable can also be contained in an HTML code object in a topic or template.

 

Alternatively, you can define the value of the missing variable:

1.On the Project tab, in the Project group, click Project Objects.

2.In the drop-down menu, click Text Variables.

3.In the left sidebar, click User Variables.

4.Click New to define a new variable.

5.Click OK.
