ePub: General Options

1.On the Project tab, in the Project group, click Project Options.

2.In the Project Options dialog, in the left sidebar, click ePub eBook.

3.Change the parameters that you need.

4.Click OK.

Below is a description of the parameters in this section.

Book ID

Specifies the unique identifier of your ePub eBook. You can specify a unique string containing letters and numbers as the identifier of your eBook to avoid confusion with other existing eBooks.

Please note that Book ID is a required parameter. By default, HelpSmith will use the "BookID" value if the Book ID parameter is blank.

Book URI

Specifies the link to a web page with information related to your eBook. It is recommend to provide a link that the readers of your eBook will be able to access. Please note that the link should start with the http:// prefix.

ISBN

Specifies the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) which is a unique numeric commercial book identifier. This is an optional parameter that you can provide if your book has an ISBN code.

Default Topic Template

Allows you to set the default template that will be applied to the help topics when you compile the ePub file.

Note that individual topics can override this setting and either use a different template or use no template.
