ePub: Cover Page

1.On the Project tab, in the Project group, click Project Options.

2.In the Project Options dialog, in the left sidebar, under ePub eBook, click Cover Page.

3.Change the parameters that you need.

4.Click OK.

 

Below is a description of the parameters in this section.

 

Type

Specifies the way the cover page in the ePub eBook will be generated. For the cover page, you can use a standard page generated by default, use an image, use a help topic, or to provide a custom HTML template. Also, it is possible to disable the cover page.

 

The following settings are available for a specific cover page generation type.

 

Standard Cover Page


Title

Specifies the title to display on the generated cover page. To customize the style of the title line, you can use the appropriate Font and Paragraph buttons.

 

Footer

Specifies the footer to display on the generated cover page. To customize the style of the footer line, you can use the appropriate Font and Paragraph buttons.

 

Use Help Topic


Topic Context

Specifies a topic that will be inserted as the cover page. To find a topic, click on the Browse button.

 

Cover Image


Cover Image

Specifies an image available in the media repository that will be inserted as the cover page. To find an image, click the ... button.

 

HTML Template


Cover page HTML template

You can use the HTML Editor to provide custom HTML code that will be used for generation of the Cover page in ePub.

 

The HTML Editor allows you to insert text variables, color codes in the HTML notation, images from the media repository, and also to use special tags that define if a block of the HTML code should be included during the compilation depending on the selected build tags.
